ESTEC awards “ACOSIM – Application of co-simulation to support test and operations” project to EMTECH Space P.C. consortium
We are glad to announce that the ACOSIM project related to the application of co-simulation to support test and operations, was awarded to EMTECH Space P.C. consortium by ESA/ESTEC. EMTECH is the prime contractor and TWT GmbH, Thales Alenia Space Italia (TAS-I) and the Aarhus University (Denmark) will act as sub-contractors. The Kick-off meeting took place on the 29th of January. The team is now eager to conduct research on co-simulation techniques to be used in the space domain for Verification & Validation (V&V) activities.
EMTech SPACE P.C. has been a constant supplier of energy efficiency, having designed, developed and installed its iReact (www.ireact.gr) product line in over than 150 power substations in the Greek transmission grid, handling peak loads near 2GWatt. Key performance indicators as yearly average of 8% power loss reduction and 14% released capacity, translate to millions of Euros saved both for the System Operator and citizens alike. A "Designed & Manufactured in Greece" label is seen next to equipment of industry giants like ABB, Siemens, GE, etc.
EMTECH SPACE P.C. awarded “JUICE Instruments ISVV” project by AIRBUS Defense and Space SAS, achieving its first entry to an ESA mission
In May 2022, the spacecraft JUICE (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) will set off on an almost 600 million-kilometer-long journey to Jupiter, where it is expected to arrive in 2030. The JUICE mission addresses the question of whether possible habitats of life are provided underneath the surfaces of the Jupiter’s icy satellites Callisto, Ganymede and Europa as well as provide observations of Jupiter’s atmosphere and magnetosphere. The European Space Agency (ESA) has contracted Airbus Defense and Space to lead a consortium of more than 60 companies to develop and build the JUICE spacecraft.
